GOD and GAD: Rediscovering Spirituality in a Gendered World

As part of the 2025 PRIDE Month, a seminar on “God and GAD: Rediscovering Spirituality in a Gendered World”, held on June 9, 2025 at the Duerr Auditorium, Taft Campus was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Lasallian Mission and Student Life-Gender and Development, in partnership with the Center for Lasallian Ministry and the Benilde Student Government.

The event created a dialogue space bridging faith, identity, and inclusion. The session featured a GAD orientation and theological reflection, where participants explored SOGIESC, gender-fair practices, and the role of spirituality in affirming human dignity and promoting social justice. Personal testimonies from LGBTQ+ Benildeans and an interactive panel discussion deepened the conversation, highlighting lived experiences of navigating faith and identity within inclusive spaces. This initiative reinforces Benilde’s commitment to fostering compassionate, gender-responsive communities that uphold dignity, belonging, and equality for all.
