On April 23, 2025, the Benilde Center for Built Environment and Logistics (CBEL)—composed of the Built Environment Unit, Logistics Support Unit, and Inventory Management Unit came together to celebrate Earth Day in Porac, Pampanga. The celebration included a meaningful site visit and a biodiversity appreciation talk at the La Salle Botanical Gardens, where participants deepened their understanding of native flora and local ecosystems.
Afterwards, the group visited Brgy. Sapang Uwak, where they learned Basic Jungle Survival skills from members of the Aeta community, highlighting traditional knowledge and resilience. CBEL also turned over in-kind donations to Peace Kamp in support of its advocacy for peace, environmental protection, and community empowerment.
This Earth Day celebration reflects Benilde’s commitment to sustainability, cultural respect, and community engagement—a living tribute to Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’.
