On February 8, 2024, the Interactive Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (IEMC) program of the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde hosted an inspiring industry talk titled “How to Best Use Your Technical Skills to Help Your Team Turn a Creative Vision into a Completed Game.” The event took place at the 5th Floor ARG Theatre, gathering IEMC students and guests for an afternoon of insights into the collaborative nature of game development.

The session was led by Alexandre Mandryka, an international game designer and creative director known for his extensive work with leading studios in the global game industry. Drawing from his professional experience, Mandryka discussed the importance of aligning technical skills with creative direction, emphasizing how communication, adaptability, and problem-solving are as vital as programming or design expertise in completing a successful game.
Benilde faculty members Mr. Lamberto Ongkingco Jr., Dr. Beatrice Lapa, Mr. Bryan Galecio, and Ms. Veronica Gamboa were in attendance, supporting the session and engaging with students during the Q&A discussion. The talk provided participants with a deeper understanding of team dynamics and project pipelines, bridging classroom learning with the realities of professional game production.

By hosting thought leaders like Mandryka, Benilde continues to strengthen its mission of preparing globally competitive game developers equipped not only with technical mastery but also with the collaborative mindset essential for modern creative industries.
