The Belen Masterclass was held at the Atrium Campus, facilitated by Jay Mangussad, a faculty member of the Industrial Design (ID) program. This collaborative event was organized in partnership with the Center for Social Action (CSA) and coordinated by Ms. Vero Solano, ID faculty and SED Service-Learning Coordinator.
During the masterclass, Jay Mangussad introduced neighborhood barangay volunteers to the fundamentals of design and prototyping. SED students were then paired with local barangay designers to create innovative Belen designs using recycled and upcycled materials. The final outputs will be judged on December 3, with the winning barangays receiving a cash prize to support their local initiatives.
