SDEAS reaches out to the students through the Kamustahan. This is the students’ chance to express their needs and be able to process how it can be solved in a safe and supportive space. Through this Kamustahan, inputs are collected so that we can also support our teachers in handling their students. It is also our way to teach the students valuable lessons for their academic needs. Students are also taught several coping strategies, study skills, time management, prioritization, self-care, stress management, conflict resolution, and other skills that the Deaf needs for academic success and prepare them holistically as they graduate and enter the world of work.
Kamustahan aims to address student concerns and assist them by teaching them skills to resolve or avoid common challenges that they are facing. Kamustahan is held regularly every 3rd Week of the term.
