On 14 November 2023, students of the School of Diplomacy and Governance, attended a Conference on “Responding to the Evolving Dynamics in the South China Sea: Bolstering the Philippines’ Maritime Security” at the Jose Rizal University.
Moderated by Dr Aries Arugay of UP Department of Political Science, the event featured a panel discussion with HE Laure Beaufils, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Philippines; HE HK Yu PSM, FCPA, Ambassador of Australia to the Philippines; Dr. Jay Batongbacal, Director, UP Institute for Maritime Affairs and Law of the Sea; and Gen. Emmanuel Bautista RET., Trustee Foundation for the National Interest.
This event was organized by Facts Asia, Foundation for National Interest, the Australian Embassy, Waypoints, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Philippine Public Safety College, Jose Rizal University, and the British Embassy in the Philippines.
