From January 23 to 25, 2024, the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BS-IS) program of the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde underwent a formal accreditation visit by the ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) assessors. The program was evaluated alongside the Human Resource Management Program (HRMP) and the Career Development Program – Marketing Management (CDP-MM) as part of Benilde’s continuing pursuit of regional academic excellence and international quality assurance.
The AUN-QA accreditation aims to ensure that higher education institutions within the ASEAN region adhere to international standards of academic quality, student learning outcomes, and continuous improvement. For the BS-IS program, the accreditation process was the culmination of extensive preparation and internal quality enhancement initiatives. The Information Systems Program conducted its self-assessment from September 2022 to November 2023, culminating in the submission and presentation of its Self-Assessment Report (SAR) in December 2023.
This milestone signifies Benilde’s commitment to aligning its academic offerings with globally recognized benchmarks, fostering a culture of evidence-based improvement, and strengthening regional cooperation in higher education. The AUN-QA evaluation not only validates the BS-IS program’s quality but also reinforces Benilde’s dedication to continuous development, accountability, and excellence in teaching, learning, and research.
