Perspectives 2023 serves as the culminating output for students of the Facilities Design and Building Engineering Systems (HMDESIG) course under the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM). Organized in collaboration with student organizations World-class Hoteliers in Progress (WHIP) and Vateliens in Progress (VIP), the event provides a platform for students to integrate theory and practice in hospitality design and management.
Working in teams, students conceptualized luxury-themed accommodation facilities, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and guest experience. The project culminated in formal pitch presentations before a panel of experienced industry judges, who evaluated each proposal based on creativity, feasibility, and market relevance.
This initiative highlights Benilde’s dedication to experiential and industry-informed learning (SDG 4), entrepreneurial and professional growth (SDG 8), and fostering innovation and collaborative partnerships (SDG 9 and SDG 17) in hospitality education.
