
The Canada–ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) Program contributes to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by reducing poverty and promoting inclusive education through international learning opportunities.
From October 2023 to October 2024, two student-scholars from the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM) of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (BS-HRIM) Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Tracks represented the institution at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in Halifax, Canada, under the Culinary Management and Business Hospitality programs. This outbound scholarship fosters global collaboration (SDG 17), equitable access to quality education (SDG 4), and poverty-reducing opportunities (SDG 1) by equipping Benildean scholars with advanced competencies in sustainable hospitality practices, intercultural learning, and community-oriented leadership.
