The Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF) in Asti, Italy, in partnership with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM), launched a pilot Hospitality Scholarship Program in May 2024. The initiative aimed to enhance international academic linkages and provide equitable access to advanced hospitality training and career opportunities.
Following a rigorous selection process, seven student-scholars were chosen to participate in a three-week intensive course at the ICIF campus, receiving specialized coursework in Restaurant Services, Oenology, and Coffee Skills. After completion, students proceeded to a seven-month industry placements across ICIF’s reputable partner establishments in Italy for immersive professional experience.
