On August 16, 2024, the School of Management and Information Technology – Analytics, Computing, and InfoTech (SMIT-ACI) Cluster held the IT Curriculum Summit 2024 at the Linkages Room in the Atrium Building. The summit gathered the program chairs and senior faculty of Business Solutions and Application (BSAA), Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIAP), Cybersecurity (CSec), Game Design and Development (GDD), and Information Systems (IS), with the presence of Chancellor Benhur Ong, Dean Joan Diñoso, Associate Dean Cathie Mojado, and Special Assistant to the Chancellor Norman Lee.

The event served as a strategic platform for each program to present its updated curriculum to the Chancellor as part of the continuous improvement process. Through rigorous curriculum reviews and collaborative discussions, the SMIT-ACI programs reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining curricula that are industry-aligned, forward-looking, and reflective of Benilde’s identity as an innovative institution.
Chancellor Ong also provided valuable insights and feedback that will guide the academic and strategic directions of each program moving forward.

The summit’s overarching purpose was to ensure that Benilde’s IT programs remain relevant, future-ready, and positioned to produce graduates equipped to lead in the country’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
