Guided by the mission of the Lasallian education to transform the lives of the students entrusted to their care most especially the poor (Deaf) SDEAS commits itself to the holistic formation of students. Thus, SDEAS provides a program for parents so that they can work together to strengthen the formation of Deaf students to develop their self-esteem, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to achieve their goals. As stated in the principles of Lasallian Education which says “attentive to students in their uniqueness-educators make an effort to know the learners, their character, their interests, their family situation, and their social background, their abilities and limitations to discern the best way to help them.”
SDEAS believes that the formation of the students will only become effective if there is active participation and cooperation of the parents because formation starts within the family. Therefore, parents also play a great role in the holistic development of their children. This Parent’s Formation session is conducted regularly every year for all SDEAS parents.
