Held on June 22, 2023, the 2023 National Analytics: AI Summit gathered some of the country’s brightest minds in artificial intelligence and data analytics through an online conference hosted by the Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP) in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). The event served as one of the highlights of the National ICT Month celebration, underscoring the importance of cross-sector collaboration in advancing the nation’s digital transformation.
Representing the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, Mr. Lamberto Ongkingco Jr., faculty member of the Bachelor of Science in Interactive Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BS-IEMC) program, joined as one of the speakers in the summit’s panel discussion. The event was attended by Benilde students, faculty members, and external guests, including Ms. Jelica Enriquez, who participated as a Benilde representative.

The summit focused on the growing role of analytics and artificial intelligence in shaping education, business, and governance in the Philippines. Discussions explored how institutions and organizations can collaborate to develop local talent, strengthen digital skills, and ensure that emerging technologies are used responsibly and inclusively. For Benilde, participation in this national event reflects the institution’s continuing commitment to equip its learners and faculty with future-ready competencies while actively contributing to the country’s digital ecosystem.
More importantly, the National Analytics: AI Summit embodied the spirit of multi-sector collaboration—linking government agencies, academic institutions, and private organizations toward a shared goal of harnessing technology for social and economic growth. This partnership-driven approach strengthens the collective capacity to prepare for an AI-enabled future while fostering innovation that benefits both education and industry.
