This year’s Isang Daan by Liza Magtoto is a one-act play performed by Dulaang Filipino (DF), the resident theatre company of Benilde under the Culture and Arts Unit (CAU) of the Center for Student Life. Isang Daan showcases what the DF members have learned over the past terms. Staging this production offers a valuable opportunity to explore themes of cultural identity, historical preservation, and the fight for social justice. The play’s focus on Filipino characters navigating a complex situation resonates with the local audience in Metro Manila, while its exploration of universal themes holds broader appeal.
The play was held on 3-5 October 2023 at the 5/F Design and Arts Theater, Design and Arts Campus.
