DEAFinite Tour Guiding Services proudly stands as the first Deaf-accessible community tour service in the Philippines, officially recognized by the Department of Tourism (DOT). Founded and managed by an all-Deaf team with the support of the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, the initiative showcases the creativity, professionalism, and leadership of the Deaf community within the country’s growing tourism industry.
More than a tour service, DEAFinite is a movement for inclusion. It creates a platform where Deaf guides can share their knowledge, experiences, and stories, using Filipino Sign Language (FSL) to make tours not only accessible but also culturally enriching. Each guided experience offers visitors a new way of seeing and understanding Philippine heritage, through the eyes and hands of Deaf storytellers who bring places and history to life.
The program also embodies SDEAS’ advocacy for accessible tourism, inclusive communication, and sustainable development. By promoting livelihood opportunities for Deaf individuals and raising awareness on Deaf culture, DEAFinite contributes to a tourism landscape that celebrates diversity while fostering social responsibility.
Through DEAFinite, Deaf professionals redefine what it means to lead, connect, and inspire. Their work bridges communities, promotes understanding, and proves that accessibility and inclusion are essential in building a tourism industry where everyone can belong and participate.
