On August 19, 2024, a delegation from the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM) of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) conducted a benchmarking visit to Chong Gene Hang College (CGHC) in Chai Wan, Hong Kong, upon the invitation of Br. Dennis Magbanua FSC, Director of the De La Salle Brothers Hong Kong Community.
The visit focused on sharing best practices in tourism and hospitality education, as well as exploring opportunities for academic collaboration and student engagement. Discussions included plans for the Tourism and Hospitality Exchange Program organized by SHRIM, where students from CGHC will visit Manila in September 2024 for a series of academic, cultural, and experiential learning activities.This benchmarking initiative reflects Benilde’s commitment to educational excellence and cross-cultural learning (SDG 4), institutional innovation (SDG 9), strengthened academic governance within the Lasallian network (SDG 16), and international partnerships (SDG 17) that promote mutual growth and intercultural understanding.
