Through this activity, the participants were equipped with essential information and skills that encourage them to think critically about alcohol and drug use. The talk also aimed to increase the safety of students and associates who may have encountered or been exposed to substance use, and to reduce the health and social consequences brought about by illegal drug use.

The purpose of the session was to prevent drug and alcohol misuse by raising awareness and promoting informed decision-making. Participants learned to identify dangerous drugs, recognize their harmful side effects on the body, and understand the risks they pose to one’s health and well-being. Ultimately, the program sought to empower the attendees to become advocates of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle—serving as instruments of guidance to their friends, classmates, and family members in steering away from substance abuse.
