De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde is now part of the CHED SIKAP Grant network, following the Partnership Signing Ceremony held on August 13, 2025, at the CHED Central Office in Quezon City.

Joining the event from Benilde were Chancellor Benhur Ong, Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Lacson, and Dean Marie Castro of the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM), which will help carry out the program. From CHED, Dr. Jimmy Catanes, CESE, Director IV of CHED-NCR, and Atty. Richie Salubre, Permanent Alternate Focal Person, led the proceedings.

The CHED SIKAP Grant (Scholarships for Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program) supports graduate studies for qualified teaching and non-teaching personnel in higher education institutions. It’s part of CHED’s push to build up faculty expertise and raise the quality of education nationwide. Through the grant, eligible Benildean personnel may get financial support for tuition, research, and academic needs while pursuing master’s or doctorate degrees in CHED-recognized programs.
