De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde and Gallaudet University formalized an agreement to jointly promote and develop activities centered on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)—a student-focused initiative integrated into academic courses to encourage cross-cultural exchange of knowledge. Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), both institutions may also pursue collaboration in teaching, research, and other academic activities, including Deaf student and staff mobility programs and other initiatives of mutual benefit.
The MOU was signed in 2022 by Benilde Chancellor Benhur Ong, Benilde Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Lacson, Gallaudet University Interim Provost Dr. Jeffery Lewis, and Dr. Charles Reilly, Senior International Officer of Gallaudet University. The agreement is effective for a period of three years from the date of signing.
