As part of its Service Learning Initiative, representatives from Benilde held a meeting with the Farmers’ Association – Samahan ng Pagkakahayupan ng Alfonso Ahoy on June 28, 2024, in Alfonso, Cavite. Following the initial discussions, the team visited the backyard farm that serves as the association’s meeting place to gain a firsthand understanding of their practices and needs.

The dialogue centered on finalizing the details of the service agreement, identifying areas of assistance, and ensuring the sustainability of the partnership. The initiative aims to provide capacity-building support, promote sustainable farming practices, and foster a stronger connection between the academic community and local farmers.

This engagement reflects Benilde’s dedication to inclusive development, integrating community service and experiential learning into education to create meaningful social impact while providing students with real-world applications of their academic learning.
