The student-artists of the Benilde Culture of Arts Unit (CAU) performed a striking tableau about the students’ experiences during the time of pandemic until the post-pandemic, incorporating the powerful combo of dance and acting performance to adhere to this year’s Young People Power theme—the resurgence of artistic exploration and celebration in a post-pandemic setting. The video was posted in the FB page of CAU on 25 February 2024.

In commemoration of the People Power Revolution that took place from February 22-25, 1986, the Young People Power (YPP) aims to reawaken the very same spirit that have ignited the hearts of the Filipinos during the revolution to push the young people of today outside of the pandemic darkness. YPP displays the resurgence of artistic exploration and celebration in a post-pandemic setting. The YPP is a symbol of dawn for the youth’s new beginnings. Together, the performance of the BCAU student artists will push and inspire the young people to step outside of the dark and break free into the light. They can claim back the dreams they have once ignored and forgotten even those dreams they didn’t even give a second thought pushing away.
