De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) officially formalized its partnership with the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) NCR South Chapter through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 26, 2025, strengthening the bridge between academic learning and professional practice.
The collaboration aims to enhance the educational experience of students in the School of Environment and Design – Architecture (SED-ARCH) and the School of Management and Information Technology – Real Estate Management (SMIT-LME-REM) programs. As part of the agreement, PIEP will provide industry experts as resource speakers for academic seminars and organize one Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar annually at Benilde. These sessions, which will also be open to PIEP members and other professionals, will be aligned with Benilde’s academic calendar and curriculum, giving students meaningful exposure to current industry practices.
Benilde students will enjoy free access to these seminars, while PIEP will handle seminar logistics, accreditation with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and issuance of CPD certificates. The initiative is a joint effort involving multiple institutional units to ensure effective coordination, venue preparation, and collaborative promotions, creating a seamless learning and professional development experience.
This partnership reflects Benilde’s commitment to integrating professional expertise into academic programs, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and industry connections necessary to thrive in the fields of architecture and real estate management. It also reinforces PIEP’s mission of advancing environmental planning standards while fostering a new generation of competent and industry-ready professionals.
