[2024-2025] Benilde and Manhattan University Seal Mobility Agreement to Strengthen Global Learning Opportunities

De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) and Manhattan University formally signed a Mobility Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 9, 2025, at Vatel Restaurant Manila, marking a new chapter in Benilde’s internationalization efforts. The agreement establishes a student exchange program for credit-bearing courses, giving students from both institutions the opportunity to experience diverse academic environments and cultural immersion.

The ceremonial signing was attended by Dr. Emmett Ryan, Director of Academic International Programming of Manhattan University; Benilde Chancellor Benhur Ong; Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Lacson; Center for External Linkages (CEL) Director Sherlo Reyes; and the deans and program chairs of the School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT), School of New Media Arts (SNMA), and School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM).

Following the signing, both institutions held a partnership meeting to discuss the program’s implementation framework and explore future collaborative initiatives. Among the proposed areas were faculty benchmarking for Benilde’s Master in International Business, as well as short-term programs in the Philippines tailored for Manhattan University students.

The collaboration reinforces Benilde’s mission to provide globally attuned, industry-relevant education and expands opportunities for students and faculty to engage in international academic exchange, cross-cultural collaboration, and mutual learning experiences—hallmarks of a truly world-class Lasallian education.
