De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) and the Vatel Business Group reaffirmed their longstanding partnership in hospitality education with the ceremonial signing of the renewed Vatel Franchise Agreement held on August 14, 2024, at Vatel Restaurant, Manila. The renewal extends the collaboration between the two institutions from 2024 to 2031, further strengthening Benilde’s commitment to global excellence in hospitality and tourism education.
The signing ceremony was graced by Paul D’Azemar of Vatel Business Group, Benilde President Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC, Chancellor Benhur Ong, Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Lacson, Dean Marie Castro of the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM), and CEL Director Sherlo Reyes, among other distinguished guests and administrators.
The renewed agreement marks another milestone in Benilde’s journey as part of the Vatel International Network, a prestigious consortium of hospitality and tourism management schools present in over 50 countries. Through this continued partnership, Benilde will sustain its delivery of globally aligned academic programs, industry-standard training, and international internship opportunities for its hospitality students.
Since its inception, the Benilde–Vatel partnership has embodied a fusion of French hospitality excellence and Lasallian education values, equipping students with the technical expertise, cultural intelligence, and leadership skills needed to excel in the global hospitality industry.
With the extension of this franchise agreement, both institutions reaffirm their shared mission to develop world-class hoteliers and hospitality professionals, ensuring that Benilde remains a premier destination for international hospitality education in the Philippines and beyond.
