On March 22, 2024, Ms. Catherine Mojado and Mr. Jacob Catayoc, faculty members of the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BS-IS) program under the School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT), participated in the Innovation Workshop led by Mr. Jobet Llamas, Vice President for Innovation of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde.
The workshop served as a collaborative session aimed at aligning academic programs with the College’s broader Strategic Initiatives for Innovation. It provided an avenue for faculty participants to explore new frameworks, methodologies, and creative solutions that could be applied to academic development, operations, and student engagement. As part of these initiatives, the BS-IS program is expected to take an active role in conceptualizing and developing innovative projects that contribute to institutional growth and continuous improvement.
Through this participation, the Information Systems faculty reaffirmed their commitment to embedding innovation across Benilde’s educational and administrative landscape. The Innovation Workshop strengthened the College’s culture of creativity and problem-solving, empowering faculty to serve as catalysts for change and future-ready leadership within the institution.
