The dance production explores the systemic oppression of women and female adolescents in the Philippines, the issue of which translates to choreographies highlighting present-day Filipino women’s issues, specifically in Metro Manila. The aforementioned choreographies will provide an intimate experience with the audience designed to evoke relevant discussions surrounding women figures in our daily lives, may it be mothers, sisters, relatives, or friends. Women’s role in society and the traversing effects of navigating a patriarchal world view would be the movement and thematic exploration for the show.
