Lecture-Seminar on Identity Theft Protection – Faculty Association of Benilde’s Contribution to the 35th Anniversary Celebration

On February 27, 2024, the Faculty Association of Benilde (FAB), in collaboration with the Lasallian Mission and Student Life (LMSL), hosted a special lecture-seminar on identity theft protection as part of the 35th Anniversary Celebration of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. The session, titled “F2F ABSO-lutely (Always Be Safe Online): Identity Edition,” was conducted by Mr. Ricson Singson Que, Program Coordinator of the Cybersecurity Program under the School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT).

The lecture-seminar addressed the growing concern over identity theft and online security, providing attendees with practical strategies to safeguard their personal information and digital identities. Mr. Singson Que discussed real-world cases, cyber hygiene practices, and preventive measures against data breaches, phishing scams, and social engineering attacks. The event aimed to empower participants—faculty, staff, and students alike—with the knowledge and awareness necessary to protect themselves in an increasingly digital environment.

As part of Benilde’s 35th anniversary celebration, this activity embodied the institution’s commitment to promoting a safe, informed, and digitally responsible community. It also highlighted the Faculty Association’s proactive role in contributing to lifelong learning and digital literacy among the Benildean community.
