On December 15, 2023, the School of Management and Information Technology – Analytics, Computing, and IT (SMIT-ACI) Cluster of the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde held its annual Student Research Forum online, highlighting the research capabilities and innovative thinking of students across multiple programs. The forum carried the theme “Research and Innovation: Bridging Disciplines in Analytics, Computing and Information Technology,” emphasizing the vital role of research in driving interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge creation.
The event featured presentations from six research groups representing different programs within the ACI Cluster: two from Information Systems, one from Computer Applications, one from Business Intelligence and Analytics, and two from Interactive Entertainment and Multimedia Computing. Each group showcased studies addressing various topics in technology, data analytics, and interactive media, demonstrating the academic diversity and innovation within the cluster.
The Student Research Forum served as an essential platform for students to present their findings, engage in scholarly discourse, and receive feedback from peers and faculty. It encouraged critical thinking, academic collaboration, and the application of research methodologies across technological and creative disciplines. Through this initiative, SMIT-ACI continues to strengthen its research culture—nurturing future professionals who can bridge the gap between technology, innovation, and societal progress.
