WHIP Café

WHIP Café 2024 was a one-day Valentine’s Day event organized by the World-class Hoteliers in Progress (WHIP) student organization under the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM). The café featured a menu of signature coffee beverages and light snacks conceptualized and prepared by student members, emphasizing creativity, service quality, and product presentation.

The activity served as a practical learning platform where students applied classroom knowledge in entrepreneurship, food and beverage production, and customer service. Participants managed every stage of operations from menu planning and costing to service execution providing a holistic experience in managing a small-scale hospitality enterprise.

The event highlights Benilde’s commitment to hands-on and innovation-driven learning (SDG 4), entrepreneurial skill development and decent work opportunities (SDG 8), student-led innovation in hospitality operations (SDG 9), and promotion of mindful and sustainable consumption (SDG 12) within the Benildean community.
