On March 22, 2023 from 18:00 to 19:30, the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (Benilde) Game Design and Development community hosted the “Gametechture” workshop online via Zoom. Led by Lamberto Ongkingco Jr., the session engaged students of the Bachelor of Science in Interactive Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (IEMC) program, faculty members and external guests. The workshop examined the principles of architectural design as applied to game level design and environment construction, connecting concepts of space, structure and user interaction to interactive media applications. By merging foundational design theory with industry-relevant examples, Benilde provided participants with actionable insights into how immersive game spaces are conceived, built and evaluated. The event reinforced the institution’s commitment to equipping its learners not just with creative tools, but with analytical frameworks that underpin immersive game experience.
