The Fashion Design and Merchandising (FDM) Program, in collaboration with Risque Designs, recently held a Basic Leather Crafting Workshop on June 26, 2024, at A811, Design and Arts Campus.
Led by Ms. Tal De Guzman, the workshop provided a beginner-friendly introduction to leatherworking, guiding students through essential techniques such as cutting, stitching, and finishing. Participants completed hands-on projects, creating their own wallets or keychains, and gained foundational skills and confidence to continue crafting independently.
The session offered Benilde students and faculty a unique opportunity to explore traditional craft techniques, fostering creativity, skill development, and a deeper appreciation for leather artistry.
