Let’s Connect: Working Together to Become One — Effective Communication and Strategies,” a collaborative event between the SDEAS Deaf Festival and the Benildean Deaf Association, was held on November 14, 2023, at the Augusto Rosario-Gonzalez (ARG) Theater, Benilde Taft Campus.
Mr. Bronson Escalderon, esteemed Deaf Career Coach at DLS-CSB SDEAS, served as the resource speaker for the session, which aimed to strengthen collaboration between Deaf and hearing individuals within both academic and professional settings. Guided by the central question, “How can we help promote the improvement of working together?”, the initiative sought to empower participants by enhancing communication skills and fostering stronger interpersonal relationships.
Attendees explored strategies for effective communication and teamwork applicable to school and workplace environments. The seminar recorded active participation from 101 attendees, including Deaf BDS–SDEAS students, Deaf non-Benildeans, and hearing Benildeans from CSBLIFE. The event highlighted a shared commitment to promoting inclusivity, mutual understanding, and unity within the Benildean community.
