
The Sprout Project: Importance of Farmers in the Culinary Industry was an advocacy project organized by Chefs In Progress in partnership with Nama Urban Farm Incorporation. The event tackles the importance of agriculture and farmers to strengthen food security to support the constant demand of society, food sustainability, and health.
The talk was spearheaded by Mr. Edriel Tan Lee, the Chief Research & Development Officer of Nama Urban Farm. The culinary arts students of De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde joined as participants of the event. Apart from the talk, the participants also received a planting kit, wherein they got to experience growing their own herbs and vegetables.
