March 14-22, 2024– BDS teachers joined a specialized workshop on Deaf-Centered Bilingual Strategies facilitated by Dr. Christopher Kurz, an expert in Deaf education and visual learning methodologies through the Center of Education and Advancement of the Deaf. The training strengthened teachers’ ability to integrate Filipino Sign Language (FSL) and written language effectively, creating more inclusive and accessible classrooms.
This marks a vital step toward realizing BDS’s vision of becoming a model school for Deaf education in the Philippines.
