November 10, 2023– Through the R.A.C.E. Against Suicide seminar with the Benilde Well-Being Center (BWC), BDS teachers learned practical strategies for mental health awareness, early intervention, and crisis response. The training emphasized the critical role of teachers as Gatekeepers—individuals who can recognize warning signs, provide initial support, and connect students to proper help. The session also highlighted the importance of compassion, vigilance, and open communication in fostering a caring and supportive school environment.
