Benilde Antipolo, June 26, 2025 — The Center for Instruction, Research, and Curriculum (CIRC) convened a strategic meeting to reinforce the implementation of service-learning in the campus. This initiative aimed to align efforts across programs in strengthening the design, implementation, and sustainability of Service-Learning (SL).
In attendance were Mr. Geronio G. Ulayo, Provost, Mr. Jimmy B. Dillo, Jr, CIRC Head, Program Chairpersons, Dr. Arlyn S. Tumala, College Dean, Mr. Federick Buenaventura, Coordinator of the Office for Social Action (OSA), and Ms. Ma. Joanna T. Añonuevo, Dean of Lasallian Mission and Student Life (LMSL).
A key moment in the discussion was Provost Ulayao, who had a pivotal role in the initial conceptualization of Service-Learning within the College’s academic structure, expressing confidence in Benilde Antipolo’s ability to advance SL initiatives, within the available resources and strong institutional backing. He emphasized that Benilde Antipolo already has the foundation in place—what’s needed now is to refine and tailor the processes to fit the unique context, and to fully leverage its existing systems and partnerships.
The meeting focused on identifying best practices, clarifying implementation protocols, and mapping out support mechanisms for community engagement projects.
