Tulong Benildyano Antipoleño: Donation Drive for Those Affected by Typhoon Carina and the 2024 Habagat

The College community empathized with those affected by Typhoon Carina by organizing a donation drive. The typhoon, which also intensified the southwest monsoon, affected a large part of the country, particularly the provinces on the island of Luzon. Floodwaters damaged many communities and left numerous families stranded, evacuated, and displaced. The National Capital Region was placed under a state of calamity, highlighting the extent of the damage caused by the weather disturbance.

This initiative, conducted in July 2024, served as a vital lifeline for those affected by the calamity. Instead of worrying about where to find food, the assistance extended by the College community provided much-needed relief during this crisis. The main goal was to deliver food relief assistance to communities impacted by the calamity and under the care of the Diocese of Antipolo.

Through this effort, members of the College community exercised their Benildean–Lasallian values of being socially responsible, rendering service, and fostering communion in mission.
