Benilde Antipolo Marks La Salle Week with Life-Saving Bloodletting Drive

As part of the La Salle Week celebration, the Benilde Antipolo Well-being Center, in partnership with the School Health Services, spearheaded a two-part blood donation activity that truly reflected Lasallian service and community. The program began with a Bloodletting Peptalk on January 12, 2024, attended by NSTP students, and culminated in the Bloodletting Activity held during BAWC Wellness Wednesday on January 24, 2024.

The peptalk provided participants with the necessary understanding of procedures and safety concerning blood donation, while informing them of its benefits as a lifesaver. It was a call to action for students and associates to live by the Lasallian Core Value of Communion-to give the gift of life through voluntary blood donation. As St. John Baptist De La Salle said, “You can do more with the grace of God than you think,” the event showed how compassion and a concerted effort can change lives.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the support of the Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter, Province of Rizal, in whose partnership the bloodletting drive was conducted safely and successfully. Through education, engagement, and service, Benilde Antipolo continues to nurture a culture of well-being and civic responsibility-one act of kindness at a time.
