| Individuals are intrinsically social entities. They interact and communicate with each other in a collaborative environment. They have innate and learned skills that they use in social situations which is called interpersonal skills also known as people skills. It is a competency that allows a person to interact effectively, function well as a member of the society, enables the person to exchange communication, build connections, and maintain healthy relationships. With the increase in mental health problems, interpersonal concern likewise became heightened. As a way to address this, Benilde Well-Being Center conducted a seminar on enhancing interpersonal effectiveness that aims to: 1. make the participants understand the importance of having positive relations with others and enhancing one’s interpersonal effectiveness skills; 2. provide appropriate evidence-based skills in dealing with interpersonal concerns in a respective and positive ways; and 3. make the participants demonstrate practical interpersonal effectiveness skills through mindfulness strategies. |
