Celebrated every first Friday of the month, Lasallian Earth Day (LED) reinforces Benilde’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. This feature highlights the importance of waste segregation at source, emphasizing how proper sorting of biodegradable, recyclable, and residual waste helps reduce landfill accumulation and prevents pollution.

By practicing segregation, the Benildean community contributes to a more efficient recycling process where reusable materials are recovered, repurposed, and reintroduced into the production cycle, minimizing the demand for new resources. Through these efforts, LED encourages everyone to take active responsibility in protecting the environment and promoting a circular economy within the campus.
