A few days before the BSKE Elections, the School of Diplomacy and Governance held a Voter’s Education Forum for the Barangay and SK Elections 2023: Ang Pulso ng Publiko on 27 October 2023 at the Benilde Atrium.

Atty. Cyril Lubaton served as a resource speaker where he highlighted the importance of going out to the polling stations to vote for the rightful candidate. He also shared his personal experience as a young volunteer during elections. The forum served as a platform for a rich discussion between SDG students and youth voters from the neighboring barangays of Benilde, namely Barangays 745 and 746.

The activity was organized by the Special Problems in Public Administration (SPECIPA) students of Prof. Maricel Fernandez-Carag as an approach to finding solutions to the perennial problems in politics and administration ie through civic education and voter’s education.

Dr. Gary Ador Dionisio closed the forum by thanking the barangays for their active participation. He also mentioned that the next step after the elections is to help the barangays craft their development plans as part of SDG’s community outreach program.
