SDG Curriculum Review Focus Group Discussion with DIA and GPA Students

A Focus Group Discussion between SDG faculty and graduating students of DIA and GPA was conducted on 13 October 2023 to garner insights on how the curricula for both programs could be enhanced ahead of the upcoming Curriculum Review.

The discussion, which was facilitated by Prof. Maricel Fernandez-Carag (Governance and Public Affairs Chairperson), Prof. Catherine Dee Samaniego (Diplomacy and International Affairs Chairperson), and Prof. Shiela Mae Sabalburo (GPA Practicum Coordinator), served as an avenue for students to share their feedback on the quality of instruction, materials, activities, and possible direction in the future based on their internship experience with accredited Host Training Establishments (HTEs).

As part of an institution that is known for inclusion, learner-centeredness, and an outcomes-based approach to education, and as a school that seeks to produce competent leaders that are guided by the Benildean Expressions of the Lasallian Core Values (BenEx), SDG strives to ensure that the teaching methodologies employed create a cohesive learning environment that is grounded on changing industry standards.
