The partnership among Benilde, the Nippon Foundation and the Rochester Institute of Technology is a collaborative initiative dedicated to promoting the education, employment, and empowerment of Deaf individuals in the Philippines. The Foundation works with affiliated organizations, NGOs, governments, and local partners worldwide to implement its programs and promote sustainability, inclusivity, and capacity building. With the Nippon Foundation’s generous support as funder, and RIT/NTID’s technical guidance, Center for Partnership and Development was established, focusing on promoting employment and exposure to students and alumni. This partnership has significantly advanced Deaf employability through research, training, and capacity-building programs that connect Deaf graduates to inclusive industries. Over the years, we continuously have strong linkages between academia and industry, enabling Deaf alumni to gain meaningful employment across various sectors.
