An initial meeting was held on January 5, 2024, at the Atrium Campus with Mr. Jeremiah C. Reyes, Commercial Attache and Economic Official of the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN, representatives from the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Jakarta, the commercial section of the Embassy of the Philippines, and the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) representative office in Indonesia. The Program Chairperson also attended the session.
The meeting explored a possible partnership aimed at broadening students’ learning experiences through immersions, trade promotion activities, investment promotion, commercial intelligence, trade negotiations, and services for Overseas Filipino Investors (OFIs). This collaboration seeks to provide students with practical exposure to international trade and investment practices, strengthening their understanding of ASEAN markets and the Philippines’ role in regional economic development.
