The Human Resource Management Program (HRMP) of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde recognizes that continuous dialogue with stakeholders is key to maintaining academic relevance and ensuring that its students are fully prepared for the world of work. In pursuit of this goal, the College organized the Stakeholder Meet and Greet and Feedback Forum on November 3, 2023, at the Atrium Campus.
The event served a dual purpose: first, as a Meet and Greet opportunity between students, practicum coordinators, and partner organizations to strengthen connections and streamline internship placements; and second, as a Feedback Forum where both students and industry partners could share their insights and experiences regarding the practicum process and the program’s overall responsiveness to real-world demands.
During the activity, representatives from partner companies shared valuable recommendations on workplace readiness, emerging HR trends, and professional competencies needed by graduates. Students, in turn, reflected on their practicum experiences, highlighting areas where academic preparation effectively aligned with industry expectations and suggesting areas for improvement.
The feedback gathered became a valuable tool for the College in refining practicum administration — from matching students with appropriate host organizations to improving supervision, documentation, and mentoring systems. It also strengthened the link between academic theory and industry practice, ensuring that HRMP students not only gain technical knowledge but also develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, and ethical decision-making.
Ultimately, the Meet and Greet and Feedback Forum contributed to enhancing program quality, sustaining strong industry relations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the HRMP. By listening actively to stakeholders, the College ensures that its graduates are not only academically competent but also “world-ready” professionals capable of contributing to sustainable human resource development in the country and beyond.
