Benilde and Asian Institute of Management Collaborate to Develop Local Hospitality Case Studies

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) formalized a strategic academic partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held on October 15, 2024, at the AIM Campus in Makati City.

The collaboration focuses on the development of local case studies in hospitality, with both institutions set to co-organize a case writing workshop that will equip faculty members with the tools and frameworks to document real-world business challenges and success stories within the Philippine context. This initiative seeks to strengthen local research output and enrich classroom instruction by showcasing authentic, industry-relevant experiences from the country’s vibrant hospitality sector.

During the ceremony, Benilde Chancellor Benhur Ong and AIM President Jikyeong Kang formally signed the agreement, with Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Lacson and School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM) Dean Marie Castro serving as witnesses. The event underscored both institutions’ shared commitment to advancing innovative, research-driven education and nurturing leaders who can shape the future of the Philippine service industry.

Through this partnership, Benilde and AIM aim to contribute to the growing body of locally grounded academic materials that reflect the distinctive dynamics of hospitality and tourism in the Philippines. The collaboration also aligns with Benilde’s mission to champion inclusive and industry-relevant learning, reinforcing its role as a trailblazer in professional and experiential education.
