Benilde recently celebrated a significant milestone with the signing of partnership agreements aimed at enhancing service-learning opportunities. The ceremony, held on December 10, 2024, at the Ideation Hall on The Atrium Campus, was organized by the Benilde Center for Faculty Advancement (CFAd). This event marked a collaborative effort with various organizations to enrich students’ educational experiences through community engagement and practical application of their knowledge.

Service-learning is recognized for its dual benefits, allowing students to contribute to society while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. The agreements, signed by Mr. Angelo Marco Lacson, Vice Chancellor for Academics, and Ms. Jhoana Paula Tacorda, OIC-Director of CFAd, will foster these opportunities. Participating partners include Oracle NetSuite, Tahanang Walang Hagdan, Inc., Naval Reserve Center-National Capital Region, DepEd Pasay, Supporting Initiatives for Bridging Orphan’s Lives, Quezon City Public Library, Positive Youth Development Network, PEPTARSUS CORP, Humanitarian Legal Assistance Foundation, Inc., Make-A-Wish Philippines, Lunas Collective, Institute for Occupational Health and Safety Development, Hearts of Hope Society Cancer Support Group, De La Salle Brothers, Inc., Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation, Community Crafts Association of the Philippines, and Asilo De San Vicente De Paul Manila. These collaborations promise to bring impactful learning experiences to Benilde students, truly a wonderful gift for the community this holiday season.
