August 19, 2025 – A Senior Analyst Programmer has successfully fulfilled all the academic and professional requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). ETEEAP is a government-authorized program that allows qualified working professionals to earn a bachelor’s degree by recognizing, evaluating, and accrediting their professional experience, skills, and accomplishments in lieu of traditional academic coursework.

As part of her final requirements, she presented her capstone project, Vision AI, on August 12, 2025. This innovative system is designed to support individuals with visual impairments by describing their surroundings, detecting nearby objects, reading text aloud, and assisting with daily navigation, making everyday movement more accessible and empowering.

Her project strongly advances inclusion by promoting equal access to technology and improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities. Vision AI contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by fostering innovative and inclusive solutions that address accessibility barriers and support the full participation of vulnerable sectors in society.

The College looks forward to celebrating her milestone achievement during the Commencement Exercises in October 2025.
Congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment and her meaningful contribution to a more inclusive, equitable world.
