November 24, 2025 – De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde’s Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) under the Center for Lifelong Learning and Innovative Programs (CLLIP), in collaboration with the Center for Inclusive Education (CIE) headed by Mr. Martin Czyrus Romero, successfully held an Inclusion Workshop on November 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM via Zoom.
The session, led by Mr. Jeremiah Adriano, highlighted the importance of fostering inclusive practices in education, workplaces, and communities. Attended by managers and senior leaders from the fields of hospitality, tourism, information systems, and production design, the workshop equipped participants with practical strategies to create environments where individuals regardless of identity, background, or ability can participate equitably and meaningfully.
The workshop also reinforced Benilde’s commitment to promoting several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by advocating for equitable and inclusive learning opportunities for all. At the same time, it aligned with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by strengthening awareness of equal participation and nurturing respectful, empowering spaces. By emphasizing the responsibility of leaders to dismantle systemic barriers, the workshop advanced, the SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) is indeed supported. Additionally, through its call for inclusive and innovative practices within professional and organizational systems, the session contributed to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by encouraging fairness, respect, and equal participation in the workplace and community. The worksho helps promote safe and inclusive environments where everyone is valued.
Through rich discussions and shared insights, the workshop strengthened Benilde’s mission to build a just, compassionate, and inclusive society. Participants left motivated to champion inclusive practices in their workplaces and daily interactions, advancing the spirit of the SDGs through meaningful action and leadership.
