2024 Barilla PASTA Championship ASIA – CHIP

The Asian Leg of the 2024 Barilla Pasta Championship was held on May 20, 2024, in partnership with Barilla and Werdenberg International Corp. This event showcased the skills of Filipino professional chefs and aimed to inspire students toward culinary excellence. Featuring seven competitors from various sectors of the local restaurant industry, the “Third Phase” took place at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde’s Angelo King International Center, with Chefs in Progress (CHIP) handling logistics. This phase focused on selecting the national representative for the finals on October 25, 2024.

The competition offered SHRIM culinary students valuable insights into potential career paths and highlighted the diverse skills of culinary experts. It facilitated experiential learning through direct observation of the event. Chefs in Progress is eager to continue hosting such events and hopes to organize more in the future.
